I don't know who they are, or what the original building was, but it looks to me like a non-conformist Protestant one - Congregational, Methodist, Baptist or Presbyterian.

Arncliffe is a working class suburb in the inner south of Sydney, approx 10 kms (12 minutes by train) from central Sydney. It's never going to make a list of Sydney's most fashionable suburbs (though it was once - 150 years ago!) It's where I've lived for the past 22 years, and I love it, so I want to share some of its quirky bits, history, and, yes, beautiful parts, with whoever is interested.

Hi this building no longer part of the Apostolic Christian Church Nazarene. The Nazarean church is a Christian congregation of anabaptist roots. They believe in adult baptism, the holy trinity. They believe in not taking up arms and non combatant roles within the military. Women wear modest clothes and a christian veil during service. Male and female sit separately and sing accapella. They follow the strict teachings of the new testament. Many dont even have televisions.
