134/36 Forest Rd, Arncliffe
Built in 1886, original builder unknown. Pair of Victorian semis. Rendered brick, cast iron lace featuring angels.
Arncliffe is a working class suburb in the inner south of Sydney, approx 10 kms (12 minutes by train) from central Sydney. It's never going to make a list of Sydney's most fashionable suburbs (though it was once - 150 years ago!) It's where I've lived for the past 22 years, and I love it, so I want to share some of its quirky bits, history, and, yes, beautiful parts, with whoever is interested.

There used to be an identical pair of semi's on Stoney Creek Road Bexley opposite the RSL Club that was suposed to have been built by the same builders. Unfortunately they were demolished in the late 60's early 70's to make way for the car park that is there today.
